Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari has taken over as the Director General of The Fertiliser Association of India, New Delhi, on 4th February 2025.
He holds a Ph.D. in Soil and Water Management from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, Maharashtra (1998). Additionally, he has completed two post-doctoral fellowships—one in Agricultural Water Management from the University of Rostock, Germany (2000), and another in Water Resources Management & Climate Change Adaptation from the University of California, Davis, USA (2003).
Dr. Chaudhari has had an extensive career with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), serving in various capacities from 1990 to 2025. He played a significant role at the ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal, starting as a Principal Scientist in 2008 and later becoming Head of the Division of Soil and Crop Management (2011-2013). His leadership continued as Assistant Director General (SWM) (2014-2020) and Deputy Director General (NRM) (2020-2025).
